Professor :

Associate Professor :

(3) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
(4) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology - mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.
(5) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in UGC Regulation-2010.

Assistant Professor :
(1) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55%marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
(2) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
(3) Notwithstanding anything contained in clauses (1) and (2) to above candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.
(4) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

Educational Qualifications
Jr. Engineering Assistant-IV (Production) :

(1) Minimum 3 Years full time, regular/sandwich Diploma in Chemical/Refinery & Petrochemical Engineering OR B.Sc. (Math, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry) with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for General & OBC candidate & 45% in aggregate in case of SC/ST candidates against reserved positions.
(2) Minimum One Year of post qualification experience in operation (rotating shift) of Pump House, Fired Heater, Compressor, Distillation Column, Reactor, Heat Exchanger etc. in a Petroleum Refinery/ Petrochemicals/ Fertilizer/ Heavy Chemical/ Gas Processing Industry.

Jr. Engineering Assistant-IV (Electrical) :

(1) Minimum 3 Years full time, regular / sandwich Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for General & OBC candidates & 45% in aggregate in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates against reserved positions.
(2) Minimum One year of post qualification experience in operation/ maintenance of Power Generators/ Distribution Sub-Stations (LT&HT at 0.4 KV and 6.6 KV level or above respectively)/ maintenance of HT/LT Switch Gears (PCC/MCC)/ Transformers / Motors/ ACBs/ VCBs/ UPS/ Battery Chargers/ Variable Speed Drives/ Protective Relays including Electromagnetic/ Static/ Numerical Relays in Petroleum Refinery/ Petrochemicals/ Heavy Chemicals/ Fertilizers/ Power Plants/ Large Industrial Establishments.

Jr. Engineering Assistant-IV (Mechanical - Pump & Compressors) :

(1) Minimum 3 Years full time, regular/ sandwich Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for General & OBC candidates & 45% in aggregate in case of SC/ST candidates against reserved positions OR Matric with ITI in Fitter Trade.
(2) Minimum One year of post qualification experience for Diploma and 2 years experience for Matric with ITI (Fitter) in maintenance/ overhauling of rotary equipment's such as Compressors, Gas/Steam Turbines, Boilers, Columns, Valves, Pumps, Mechanical Seals/Dry Gas Seals, Bearings (Journal/Antifriction), Safety Valves etc. in a Petroleum Refinery/ Petrochemicals/ Heavy Chemicals/ Fertilizers/ Power Plants/ Large Industrial establishments.

Jr. Engineering Assistant-IV (Instrumentation) :

(1) Minimum 3 Years full time, regular/ sandwich Diploma in Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Electronics / Instrumentation & Control Engineering with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate for PWD candidates against reserved positions.
(2) Minimum One year of post qualification experience in Maintenance of Modern instrumentation control system like DCS, PLC with electronic field instrumentation, Control Valve, Smart Positioners, loop configuration, online Analysers condition monitoring, cabling, earthing etc., in a    Petroleum Refinery/ Petrochemicals/ Heavy Chemicals/ Fertilizers/ Power Plants/ Oil & Natural Gas Exploration / large Industrial establishments.

Selection Process: Written Test. The Test comprising of 100 marks will be of duration not less than three hours. Candidate will have to secure a minimum of 40% of marks for qualifying in the Written Test (relaxed by 5% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories against reserved positions). The candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Written Test shall be subjected to Skill/ Proficiency/ Physical Test, which will be of qualifying nature.

Application Fee: A Non-refundable fee of Rs 150/- only for  General and OBC category candidates. The requested fee to be pay through Demand Draft in favor of 'ACCOUNTS OFFICER, GUJARAT REFINERY', payable at State Bank of India, Bajwa Branch, (Branch Code - 0568), (IFSC Code - SBIN0000568) Vadodara. The fee exempted for reserved category (SC / ST / PWD) Candidates.

How to Apply: The candidate must have fill Online Application Form. The Online Registration close on 30/09/2016. The candidates have to apply for any one post only.

After submitting Online application, the candidate must take a print out of the filled-in on-line application along with Original Demand Draft (DD)  towards payment of Application Fee (wherever applicable) and submit the same to Chief Human Resource Manager, Gujarat Refinery, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., PO: Jawaharnagar, Dist: Vadodara - 391 320, latest by 15/10/2016.  The Candidates should super scribe the Name of the Post applied for and Post Code on the top of the envelope.
